    So far, I believe you're going to be out of luck. Sony DVD players (mostly) can't be hacked via the remote that I've seen, although there are reports that you can program a palm pilot to hack the region.



    There are numerous companies that offer kits to multi-region the players or will take them to multi-region them, but it's a case of caveat emptor...I've heard of such kits disabling other features or generally just causing problems.



    I bought the NS305 for MP3 playback...I'll probably buy another player for multi-region.
