Santa left me a nice Dansai DVD955 for xmas, but unfortunately i need to turn up the sound on my TV quite a lot just to hear them speak. I've connected the DVD to the TV via a scart & to my sterio via the 2 phono leads. Any Suggestions, please ?? - Also on the hack to make it multi region, are you able to put a 1,2,3 and so on, instead of putting a 0 at the end of the hack, therfore allowing you to chose a specific region? - all help greatly appreciated - thanks

S,funny he left me one as well.Mine is also very quiet ,annoying isnt it ? As for the region hack you dont have to type the number in you just need to highlight it when youre in the secret menu and press "select"

I would also like to be able to adjust the sound but there doesnt appear to be the facility to do so ,any help would be appreciated

I also found one on Christmas morn'. Mine was quiet too. A trip to Argos and £80:00 lighter for a set of 5.1 speakers, I kind of forgot about the low volume. I hasten to add that I also had to replace my television a couple of weeks ago (it was old and tired) and found that the volume was much better when connected to that. Have you tried different connection methods. I used the Scart originally but the new tele's got two types of Scart socket. Maybe S-Video or Phono might work better. I've always had my suspicions about Scart. I don't trust 'em coz everyone sets the pins up how they see fit even though it's supposed to be an industry standard. If you have a Scart diagram in the manuals for your tele and DVD player it might be worth comparing them. The only other thing I would suggest is try to get a cheap set of surround speakers. The difference to the sound is incredible and it doesn't have to cost a fortune.

I have one and I find that Atmosphere is very loud but dialogue very quite and I conect through phonos to an amp....Dunno what to do now....?

I have dowloaded some MPEG (VCD)files and saved these onto a CD-RW, but nothing happens when I try to play them on my Dansai DVD955! How do I get them to play?

i got a dobly digital surround sound system for my dvd player, since i got the dvd player last year i don't have the manual so i dont know how to set the dvd player to play surround sound. its just blairing out everything out of all the speakers. if anyone has a manual could they e-mail me the instructions on how to set it up. any help would be greatly appreacated.
