yes its good but try the marantz 4100ose from richer sounds, its better in every way (looks debatable!) and currently reduced from 500 to 200. personally i don't trust sony any more i have had too many bad experiences!!!!!!!!!!!i almost forgot there is also the PHILIPS - DVD740VR (empire direct special offer under 200)but if you insist try this link to find one with all the "extras" at a good price......http://www.techtronics.com/uk/shop/50-sony-slv-d900-multi-region-dvd-player.html

I came to this forum looking for a hack for the SLV-D100 which seems to be the US version (NTSC) of this machine. I still haven't found a hack for it. However, in another forum, someone else posted this hack for the D900:

Turn on power with no disc inserted and tray closed.

    Push on remote: Subtitle - 3 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 7

A message will appear on the display

    Push on remote: 9

    Done.

I hope someone can confirm if this hack works and if it would work for the similar D100.
