Alba DVD103 problems with dvd365.net advice

dvd365 give the following advice for making the Alba DVD-130 multi region.
Unfortunetly I do not seem to be able to get it working, am I missing something here?
Here is the advice
Power on player
Press Pause on the Remote Enter code 3, 1, 4, 1, 5 and 9
The player display should read "COdE - -"
Enter the desired Region (0 = all, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2 etc.)
Press Pause again
Power off player
Wait 10 seconds and then power on again
All help throughly appreicated.

MAYBE YOU NEED TO RESET THE MACHINE AFTER HAVING PUT IN IN THE CODE INCORRECTLY. HOWEVER THIS IS NOT THE HACK I HAVE. TRY...............1. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control

2. Using your remote control, press the buttons 3, 3, 0, 8 and 8, in order one at a time

3. Press the 1 button on your remote control for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback

4. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control



PS MAKE SURE THE TRAY IS EMPTY
