Can anyone direct me to a region hack for this combined VCR/VCR/AMP system please



I have been told that the LG 5000 firmware upgrade will work but as it cost me £300+ I need to be sure

Multi-Region hack:



Power on the player with no disk in the drive

Wait for the "No Disc" message to appear

Press Pause on the Remote

Enter 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9 on the Remote (the word COdE or FF appears on the display)

Enter 0 on the Remote (0 = All Regions, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2, etc.)

Press Pause on the Remote

Power the player off, wait 30 seconds and then power back on

If the above code fails to work then once the player has displayed the "No disc" message press Stop before entering the above code.



Firmware Version Display:



Press Setup on the Remote

Select TV Aspect

Place the cursor on 16:9 wide

Enter 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3, 9 on the Remote

Press Enter on the Remote

Press Setup to clear the information once read

Beware: There are reports that entering a code to enable VCD playback may result in the players firmware becoming corrupted thus making the player unusable. It is for that reason we have not listed the code.
