Just got this dvd player this morning, took back my apex ad1100wb back to asda last night and got my £70 cash back. The went to Safeways this morning and picked up a Naiko DVD.

This baby is 100% better than the Apex ad1100, excellent picture quality, good sound, quiet motor (unlike ad1100wb!!), good remote and a really smooth damped eject mechanism.

You will not get a better DVD for £100 let alone £60.

Get down to Safeways before 10th December because that is when the offer price ends on these players.

its a good dvd player it plays: copys dvds,vcds, super vcds,jpeg files,mp3,reg 1/2/4, im looking for a crack to take off the macrovision.can you help thanx

Does anyone know how to make this player multi-region?
(Especially for Rob Hilton)
If you have this DVD player can you please try the following to see if you gain access to the secret menu as it worked on previous models.
N2001 & N2051 hack.
1. Open the player's tray using the remote
control.
2. Press Setup, Stop, Skip Backwards, Skip
Forwards on the remote control.
3. You should now be in the secret menu.
4. You can select regions 0 to 8.
5. You can also enable/disable macrovision
amongst other things too in the same menu.
Please respond ASAP because like Rob says the offer at safeways ends on the 10th!

Try the following method which worked on previous models (let me know if it works).
1. Open the player's tray using the remote control.

Having just bought a naiko from safeways, what is macrovision. (i'm new to this dvd lark)

Does it output Ntsc dvd's as Pal 50 as require this for older tv set.

This baby also plays cdr/cdrw,SVCD and Kodak Photo - who knows, it might even be multi-region?!

I have bought this model, and apparently, it is region free out of the box, but I do not have any other region DVD's to test it.
