My Bosch SG13002GB dishwasher ends a cycle with about a gallon of water left in the bottom, instead of being pumped out.
I've tried using de-scaler and washing soda to clear anything blocking the outlet, but with no success.
Any suggestions, please? -

Hugh, in your case; two options either de pump is blocked or something is obstucting the hose which runs directly after the pump into drain.
Suggestion; empty dishwasher entirely, making sure the bottom (underneath the filters) is clean and dry, at the very bottom (more or less on the left hand side) you will find 1 single Torx 20 screw. Undo the srew and lift up the plastic lid what you see is the outlet pump (propellor) see if you can turn this propellor, if not something (glasliver, toothpick anything) has dropped underneath the propellor and stops the pump from running. Anything underneath the prop., you won't be able to get to it; take one sheet of kitchenpaper, roll this into a cigaret shape, press the end firmly into prop on one side en turn the prop. Anything underneath will be caught into paper and will appear at the other side of the prop. (like that German bloke who was trying to rescue the little girl at the watermill in The Eagle Has Landed!)
If this doesn't do the trick let me know and I'll tell you about the previously mentioned hose between the pump and the drainpipe.

I have a 2 year old Bosch SGS5302 that refuses to heat the water. I presume the heating element has gone. Does anybody have any idea how I can get at the element or whether this problem may be caused by something else that I should look at first. Also, any recomendations where to get replacement parts? -

Help Jan,
I have the same problem Kevin wrote about. My Bosch has a digital countdown and for some reason today it stopped at 38 minutes and won't proceed. I have turned it off, cut power to it and it still comes up 38 minutes when I turn it back on. Actually it has come back on at 39 and gone up as high as 41 but won't go below 38.
Thanks so much,

You may have problems with the electronic unit at the back of the front panel; a loose soldering connection at the heating connection rendering the machine unable to heat the water.
If you are interested and technically minded, I will give you some more details as how to repair this unit.
Hope this helps. -

My SGS4012GB/12 does not fill with water.
I have checked the supply and the filters in the hose and feed to the dishwasher, all are OK.
Being technically minded I have opened the inlet panel and checked the valve is electrically connected, which it is. On a cursory check the unit has what seems a high resistance (2.5K Ohms) and does not seem to have any voltage applied to it during the start (when I expect the unit to fill) of a cycle.
Any ideas why it will not fill? -

The resistance is oke. The minute the drainpump stops pumping ( at the beginning of the cycle) the waterintake starts. If it doesn't does the motor start ? if yes; take away the left panel of the dishwasher (you will have to take away the topcover of the dishwasher first; release two hooks at the back) and take a look at the level meter (with the blue lever and membrane) and check wheter this is stuck. Also check the pocket underneath the membrane and see if it is still holding water (It shouldn't hold water but because of greasy residue it does sometimes thus blocking a little wateroutlet at the bottom of the pocket.
Hope this is of help to you. -

Jan,
Help! I have a Bosch SHU5312 Model and its been in use for approximately two years. The problem is similar to others I've read about. The timer/counter display counts down to 1 and stays at 1. The bottom of the dishwasher at "1" on the display is full of water. The display never gets to the normal "CL" at the end of the cycle.
I have cleaned the filters and removed the impellar cover at the bottom of the reservoir, but when I power it back up, the display for "Rinse and Hold" stays at "1" and all other wash modes start at "13" and count down (but do nothing).
I did remove a bone fragment from the reservoir that was wedged well before the impellar. I also removed a glass fragment and plastic nub from the filter units. Nothing was blocking the impellar.
Any advice?

There are several options;
reset the display; switch on and press programbutton 1 and 3 from the left and keep pressed until '0'appears on screen (could be button 2 and 4 from th left) dishwasher will start drainpump and continue for 1 minute. You don't have to run it for 1 minute, just interrupt by switching off when empty. This will tell you whether or not the drainpump is allright.
Start normal washing cycle and after about 5 minutes, repeat the resetprocedure and start normal program again and see if it takes water in after the initial run of the drainpump > if it doesn't there is a blockage at the left side of the dishwasher where the waterlevel gauge/menbrane is situated. Don't touch it unless you have expert techical knowledge. A little blue bracket is triggered by a menbrane and subsequently presses a microswitch. The menbrane is hanging in a small reservoir, the reservoir empties as soon as the waterinlet shuts down. If it doesn't drain the menbrane is taken for a ride and reckons there is still sufficient water in the dishwasher.
Could also cause heating problem thus causing the programcycle to last longer than normal so the Calculated cycle time doesn't match the actual time which results in the 1 in the display in which time the computer is still calculating.
there are two more reasons for this to happen, but they are too difficult to explain and require a service engineer to fix it.
good luck
