Ford Taurus Coolant Problem, Can anyone help?

I bought a 97 Ford Taurus in 2000. Did not know there was a service advisory for what has became known as Brown Coolant. The advisory was out until 1999. It is due to a defect in how the antifreeze is circulated. Now in 2002 I have almost $3,000.00 in repairs because the head gasket went due to this defect. Plus the bypass kit to fix the defect is $900.00. No help fom Ford. I have a warranty whio will not cover it because it is only an upgrade. Ford must have closed the advisory because they wouold be looking at big bucks to fix all the cars involved.

No more Fords for me ! Can anyone help me?
