My cat wont stop meowing! help!

I have a 1 year old bengal male kitten and recently he wont stop meowing in the earlie hours of the morning. He gets wormed and de fleaed when needed, well fed and is an indoor cat. He has not been neutered (could that be the problem) and 3 months ago he lived with another kitten that he really got on with, they had to be seperated, its just him myself and my partner, we are willing to get another cat if thats the problem tho would rather not. we have tryed spraying him with water when he meows, and ignoring it but nothing help, if we shut him in the kitched he will meow all night, he started last night @ 5 and didnt stop till 8!!! (when we couldnt take it any more and let him back in the bedroom) its driving us mad PLEASE HELP Thanks debbie
