loss of power and sluggish

got a 1.2 r eg corsa
recently wont emit no power, foot down in gear struggles to acccelerate. when engine is turned on car struggles to hold minimum revs but soon steadies. feels cloggy. possible side effect could be engine heating hotter than before but not badly.
any suggestions, would be appreciated
