Bosch dishwasher up in smoke

I have (had) a bosch dishwasher SGS43E02GB/35 and the control panel caught fire yesterday. Very fortunate as 90% of the time we run it overnight. ANyway, happened to be in kitchen when it started spluttering and have a fire extinguisher in the house so was able to put out the fire.
Does anyone know if any recall notices on this model as I've seen various US recalls for control panel faults.
Also is it worth kickong off with Bosch or should I just accept it was fairly old and had reached the end of its life ?
