    Hi everybody,
Does anybody knows which specifications shall a beginner in Target Shooting (using air rifle) be looking for? Such as caliber, scope size, power, etc?

    Thanks,
    Kenneth

10m shooter usually use a low powerd 500-600fps .177 cal air pistol or rifle made for that specific purpose. Co2 and pcp generally are generally more accurate, but some will start out with single pumple pnumatics. Daisy make a 747 pistol and a 753 or 853 rifle are affordable entries to the sport. I use a 953 with crosman diopter/hood set for fun. Single shot configurations are used in competetions and open sights on pistols and peep sights on air rifle generally used.

HT/FT their own rules. In the UK it seems to have 12ftlbs limit and sometimes different classes. .177 pcp gernerally win out over others and a good variable high powered scope with sidewheel px adj. are popular. You don't always need an expensive scope, but for champion shooter they are becoming a must. The the px and click adjustment shooters have been gaining an advantage nowdays over the hold overunder crowd.
