must men wear speedo style swimwear in france

hi, i'm going on holidays in france in a few weeks and will be staying in various campsites around normandy. I was just wondering what people new or anybodies experience on swimwear rules in france. Must men wear speedo style swimwear?

I'm just coming back from camping in the Picardie. I was wearing swim shorts and was refused entry into the campsite's swimming pool. I didn't bother buying something else and just went swimming in the sea.
