Havent been here for awhile. Got my old sea kayak out. Thinking about trying to water proof the ol Mendoza. Sea kayaks paddle in nice straight lines and make zero noise. I've gotten very close to Nutria before. Would be fun to put a Beeman Heavy into one.

Have to keep the rifle dry. hmmm

    Good call Mr Rabbit Cool

Speaking as a fellow Yakker Very Happy I think this latest admirable brainwave `although splendid in many ways` may suffer from a few unforeseen challenges Confused

For a start - How will you be able to carry your rifle AND paddle at the same time?!

Of course; You could use the butt as the blade but this does heavily rely on you having a decent `J Stroke` Smile )

OR... If you taped 2 rifles together (barrel to barrel)you could paddle them as a Double Blader instead !?

Hmmm....Yes this is one of the best ideas I`ve heard of for ages Very Happy

As long as you remember to untape them before you shoot you should be OK

Before you embark on your first mission though I should take at look at this coaching video just incase you encounter any tricky portages.

This man is a hero Wink

Well this may have been another Wyle Coyote idea. I do take the Kayak Necky Lookshaw IV composite

    http://www.neckykayaks.com/kayaks/touring/looksha_iv_composite.shtml
up to the Cascade high lakes to troll for Kokanee and Landlocked Steelhead.

I just put my ultralite under the ball area and rest it up on the well. Lots O fun. It is a challenge when the waves and wind is up.

    harr
Just clicked on the youtube video. It's not so much the crash on the rocks but the expert analysis prior to launch.
I've done much the same thing explaing how to get into the kayak in front of a bunch of people. Then instantly going underwater placing my weight a bit off center.

People were doing their best to not blow a gasket as I came up for air.
    Bwabbit. Cool
