Early upgrade

Hi, would appreciate some help. My girlfriend and I have 2 phones on a joint Vodafone contract that we have had for about 9 years. We foolishly chose the Nokia N73 last time and had to go on an 18 month contract.

We are due an upgrade mid June but both of our phones have given up the ghost and we need an upgrade now! Rang them today but they were completely unhelpful and just basically said no and point blank refused!

Feel a bit cheated really as they are quite prepared to take my money for the line rental and "free" minutes which I am unable to use! Can't believe there is no flexibility for loyal customers!!

Has anyone else had any similar experiences and have any ideas on getting them to budge an inch!!
