Island Star - any tips appreciated

I'm travelling on the Island Star in January
Am on Sapphire Deck and heard there might be some noisy rooms on this deck due to being under the dancing areas.... can anyone tell me what to avoid?
Also, I'd be grateful on tips about wi-fi as I'd like to be able to contact home (I know!) and will take my laptop. Is wi-fi connection free or charged at same rates as the hub?
Any other general tips appreciated too.
