Problem with fabric softener drawer

I bought a Constructa Energy washing machine only about three months ago. It seemed to work fine the first few times, but then it started retaining water and fabric softener in the fabric softener drawer. After the cycle is finished, the drawer is full of water with globs of fabric softener in it.

It's still under warranty, but I'd rather see if I can fix it before going through the trouble of replacement. Does anyone know what might be causing the problem, and how I might be able to fix it?

I'm not sure about this but i get the same problem and suspect that it is due to the water temperature. I noticed that it seems to happen more in the winter so perhaps its due to the water being colder.
