Need some info. Went to our local gun show today, saw a Richards double barrell, govt issue 10 ga. It had metal tags that said pine ridge indian agency 1889. Had alot of indian tacks in the stock. The gun itself looked like the old husqvarna with the metal releases.Alot of the govt markings were pressed into the stock, it also had the number 38 in the stock as well.I guess my question is what are the chances of this gun being legit? I did some google searches with no luck. Im not even sure if this is posted in the right forum. Any info would be appreciated. The history of the gun would be interesting but something tells me It might be a fake. The owner was no help all he knew was it supposedly came from south dakota.

My son bought the above gun for me. Turns out it is a 12 gauge and not a 10. Anyone out there have any info. at all on it??
