    can i get a shotgun licence without owning or storing my own gun- i would only borrow a friends gun and they would own and store it?

    I think it is possible. but if you borrow one say over a weekend, you would need to be able to store it locked in a suitable gun cupboard. You can have a gun on loan without informing the plod for 72 hours.

    Thanks, i wouldnt be bringing it home, just borrowing it for the day with the owner and returning it to the owner.
