I work for an investment research firm in New York. I'm currently trying to put a potential investor in Rentokil with users of City Link courier in the UK. Any thoughts on service levels would be appreciated. I'm happy to offer a consulting fee to qualified respondants. Smile

Well citylink recently chnaged their premises here in Edinburgh and their service has changed dramatically. I used to deal a lot with the local office and couriered many items from home, while efficient their staff (apart from drivers) tended to be unhelpful and "money driven". The drivers were a joy, normally you get good banter from them and they are always on time. Using citylink for receiving deliveries (from sites like ebuyer.com) is fantastic, never a late delivery, courteous drivers, good when expected and in perfect condition. One thing i will say is that you never receive "bashed goods" from Citylink couriers in my neck of the woods.

Hope this is the kind of information your looking for!

We must be talking about a different City Link here. Having had a terrible experience last year, the service around Coventry continues to be rubbish. A recent experience is typical of their performance. A frined bought us a rather larger present weighing 60kg. City Link apparently tried to deliver it on 4 occasions (so they claimed). No card was left and there was always someone in for each attempt. On the last attempt we actually watched the van drive past the end of our drive. We contacted the company from whom the gift was being sent (Elite Gym), they contacted City Link who said that the driver had put a card through our letter box and even described the front door colour! He was obviously colour blind. Eventually Elite Gym requested the parcel returned to them so they could send it via another service. However, the parcel and contents were so badly damaged when they were eventually returned that a new parcel was sent out.

City Link - same rubbish service from a company that cares very little for it's customers at both ends of the delivery service.

A recent eBay customer asked me to ensure that the courier I used was NOT CityLink after his previous bad experiences with them. Says it all really.
