Julie McKee new album: What A Woman Shouldn’t Do

I was at London's 606 Club on 2nd July and saw a new singer/songwriter called Julie McKee. The set she did was really something. She had a fantastic voice and very hot band, including the guitarist from James Taylor Quartet. Really great stuff. I'd say it was a mix of soul, blues, jazz and pop - really interesting stuff.

The gig was to launch her new album, What A Woman Shouldn’t Do, which I got a copy of and am loving it! I've been bigging it up to my friends and figured I'd post something here about it. I'm hoping more will get known about her as it looks like she's with a small indie label as I haven't seen her CD in the shops, but it is on her website (juliemckee.com), Amazon and iTunes too. I'd very much recommended taking a listen to it...
