Hi! I want to buy a CO2 pistol. I live in city from argentina. In the city where I live it's easy to fin gamo pistols. But I don't know if GAMO are the bests. I would like a powerfull and accurate pistol, without forgetting the "realism" factor. I found all models of GAMO pistols, and one of CROSSMAN, the 1088. I would like to know if a should buy the crossman 1088 or another model from GAMO. Thanks!!

I've got a 1088. It shoots well and has nice power (for a CO2 pistol) It looks and feels like a toy however. I had a Gamo PT80, but it never worked well, the seal finally broke. My son has one that is far more accurate than mine ever was, i suppose they run hot and cold. I have the Gamo revolver. it looks and shoots great, but isn't very powerful.

Are you inmterested in any other brands, and is price the deciding factor? The Crosman 2240 is more powerful than most co2 pistols, but it isn't any kind of replica. Umerex makes great replica pistols, but they cost accordingly, and you only mentioned Gamo and Crosman.

If you want to add more about what you're interested in it might help on suggestions. Anyway, hope this helped.

Thanks for your comment. Anyway, I finally decided to import a walther CP88 4" blued. It costs me exaxtly the double in comparation with the 1088, but I think it worth it. What do you think about it?

I don't have one, but it looks good on paper. I think you made a good choice. I can't say there's any real problem with the Crosman, but like I said, it feels a lot like a toy. Looks like one to. The warning on the side of this pistol is a good idea as it does look like a toy. I know Walther is a good gun, so my guess is you'll be happy. I'm hoping to order a Walther rifle in a month or 2, (if all goed well).
