    Remember......

rule 1- threaten his very life
rule 2-threaten to call the authorities
rule 3-threaten to "accidentally" break his shoddy air rifle.
rule 4-run downrange, grab and eat the candy as fast as you can(being sure not to swallow any lead), then haul ask outta there.
    Laughing

    (tongue in cheek)-j/k

U could bring some oil in an eye dropper and intentionally diesel the HECK out of his air rifle untill it breaks.
I've been experimenting with a few "tracer pellets" of my own design at home for the past few nights.
I actually got it to work!!!! A few probs:
    Not cost efficient
    not time efficient
not efficient to do in .177 caliber
hard to duplicate the same results twice
    major pellet modification required
actual result is not NEARLY as cool as you would think
    kinda a waste of time.
If I had to try it again, I would use a .22 cal air rifle(which I do not own)
with the Beeman Crow Mags(HUGE hollow point cavity is perfect for cramming in the additives)

well, for the tracers I used red phoshorous.
I had to drill out the .177 crossman premier hollow point because it was way too small.
I also experimented with cap gun caps and paper caps strips(wear safety goggles, they do pop in your face accidentally)
Also, crushed up some match heads, but since they were not "strike anywhere"-impossible to find anymore, they did not have the deisred effect.
I then removed the head of a .22lr shell and used some of the powder, but i need to find a way of incorporating the powder into the .177 shell with a primer that will work-the caps.
I tried using warm wax to seal it up with little result.
The .177's are not large enough to accomodate the snap caps. Need to use Beeman Crow mags in .22 cal.
DO NOT PLACE THE INGREDIENTS IN THE SKIRT! ONLY IN THE HOLLOW POINT CAVITY

Try filling the skirt and shooting the pellet backwards....old timers used to do that before well made hollow points became available. Now they stressed that it seemed like it didn't harm the air gun, but also warned that it may not be the best thing for it either.
