Anybody out there experienced this? While shooting at game or target, the round deflected(off of the ground, rock or other) and still hit the target?
Happened to me awhile back when shooting a squirrel. I jerked at the last sec and pulled the shot(at quite a distance, too), striking the ground infront of him, ricocheting off of a small rock and striking the animal.
Didn't kill him, but must've hurt like h3ll because he flipped and flopped faster than lightining out of my back yard. Never saw him again...

    Not happened to me.

Knew a guy who had his target rifle sighted for 25m. Went straight to 100m without any zero change. Started shooting with open sights and as you can emagine all of the shots were hitting the ground at about 70 yards. Trick is that there was a large puddle of water there and the shots were bouncing off and hitting the very bottom of the target paper!

in the fair there was a shooting stand and they were those shooting galery knock down things.

anyway using one pellet i got two down (accident)
i hit one and it must have bounced off the back of the trap and hit the targrt next to it

one example of a ricoshet shot even though it was accidental but i think we all know that actually trying to get a shot like that is impossible Laughing

Well now those shooting fair things have to to be the biggest rip i have ever seen!

first of all in Australia you can't even touch a gun without having a license so i dont know how that got the stand up.

secondly they had all the air rifles attached to a metal brace via the stock and they also had the barrels cocked waiting for some one to shoot them that is dangerouns because if the anti bear trap deviecs fails it the barrel will snap back and slap you in the face. and i can tell you thoes guns must be weak i could eaisly cock the gun with two fingers.

Now lasltly im not saying im a great shot but im not bad either and i missed all four of thoes targets thoes sights must have been way off! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Thank you for reading my little sook Very Happy
