Does anyone know what can be done about dark circles under the eyes?
I am 20 and Asian, and have had these large dark circles for as long as I can remember. They are not puffy or anything or due to lack of sleep etc or even diet.

I personally think that some people are just more prone to dark circles because of their skin color and skin thickness. If you have lighter skin and on top of that it is thin, specially around the eyes... then you have to take extra care and make sure your eyes get proper rest and it can't be too much either. If you sleep too little, you get the circles and if you sleep too much you get the circles. Try to find the right amount of sleep hours that work for you. And ofcourse, you can do this in addition with other things like keeping you eye area mosturized etc.

I share your pain. For most of my life I've had really really dark undereye circles. Despite mastering the art of concealer I still found my dark undereye circles peaking out from under my makeup.

I did some online research and found that recently Soy Rice Peptides have been found to reduce under eye darkness by 30% with use. I searched for a product with these and found Isabella Pelle Extreme Eye Rescue. I have been using it for a month now.

My dark under eye circles have been reduced pretty dramatically. This is literally the ONLY stuff I've bought for my dark circles that has worked. Also, this eye cream has palmitoyl tripeptide-5. You might be seeing this ingredient popping up in lip plumping products. It's been shown to increase your collagen production by 350%. It has done wonders for my eye area. I was starting to get small crow lines and these are barely visible now.

It looks like their main website is currently undergoing some sort of change, but their webstore address is:

    Hope this helps!

Allergies may be the most common cause of skin discoloration under the eyes. If allergies are the root of your problem, you simply need to treat them or remove the allerge. Seasonal allergy problems such as the hay fever can frequently be effectively treated with over-the-counter and prescription medications.Almost everyone gets dark circles under their eyes from time to time. Dark circles under eyes usually are temporary and not a medical concern.

Get rid of those dark circles under your eyes ! Eat lots of vitamin-rich food and avoid caffeine. The best way to get rid of dark circles is to have sound sleep. But we have to find the root cause of it else we will not be able find the permanent solution for it.

Get a good foundation brush. It covers up the circles better.

Hi this is james here.Dark circles under eyes are very common beauty complaint. Nine out of 10 people have dark circles under their eyes at one time or another. How dark circles under eyes are caused ? The skin under our eyes is very thin. As we get exposed to sun rays, the skin under the eyes gets damaged and becomes more thin and wrinkled. The veins below this thin skin start looking prominent. Thus the wrinkles and prominent veins form dark circles. Some times pigmentation also causes dark circles.
    Thanks

I have a friend that is over 40, has about four hours sleep a night and LIVES on caffeine and has no dark circles and always looks fresh, so its not always down to sleep and diet – it varies from person to person.

If you can and you want to, a quick fix would be foundation or concealer, if they don’t work you could try corrective cosmetics like
    Dermablend.

Or have a look at these products for dark circles Eye Care / Dark Circles.

    Hope that helps.

I pinch my mum's eye cream, it works brilliantly but it's not exactly cheap!

    Zelens Eye Cream

For a real emergency (like meeting the boss after big night out) teaspoons in iced water!
