HP Pavilion ZT1170 DVD/CD Drive(1 Messages)

   I have a Pavilion ZT1170 and it will no longer recognize the DVD/CD Drive. The CD activity light (upper left side of keyboard) stays on continously and doesn't even blink. I removed the drive and the light stays on. Has anyone had a similar problem? Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? The Laptop works ok but I can't load any new software on it w/o my CD Drive.
