    hi all,

i have a 14.2hh piebald cob that is perfect for what i want. but i have a slight problem.
he is really ploddy, and takes the mickey. i try to keep kicking him on but he still doesn't move that fast and when i use the whip he goes into canter immediately and i cant stop him and he bucks. i try not to use the whip because of this but it seems he only has 2 speeds: super SLOW or really really FAST. can anyone give me any tips on how to get him moving or how to stop him taking the mickey out of what i do Question

i don't have the strength to keep him going on. he used to be a riding school Pony so he should be used to beginners but i don't think that has any effect on me.
