Age limit for shotgun Licence

sorry to sudenly ask all these questions
is there an age limit to shotgun license's?
i'm 16 so i know i wont be able to buy and own the shot gun but can my dad buy it and then i "borrow it" from him? -

As I understand it there is no set age limit for having a shotgun licence, but you can be legally given a shotgun at the age of 15, so anyone with a licence can "give" you the gun.
Also once you have a licence you can legally borrow any gun that you have permission too and have it under your controll for upto 48 hours. However when under the age of 17 you cannot use the gun on your own, but as long as you have someone over the age of 21 with you thats fine, they don't have to be a licence owner or anything, just over the age of 21. -

could you drive to your shoot with an airgun in the boot (trunk to our yanke friends) at 17?
