dont think i really need choke for rabbits and pigeons really
just keep the range below 45 yards or so -

Well then you 45 yards you will need 3/4 and full.
One choke can never cover all ranges.
A quote from an old man at my gun club- "sonny they haven't invented a choke that can cover all ranges but they also haven't invented a choke that replaces accuracy"

Thats a real shame mate! I wish I could speak to them on your behalf and persuade them otherwise. Even though they may be against shooting to surpress your obviouse shooting talent is totally wrong. The opposite of what parents should do. Now I'm not saying your parents are idiots or anything, Just that they should recognise your talents and do their best to encourage you and help you.
My parents did it for me and now I'm county champion. Couldn't have done it without their help and enthusiasm. -

Haha have fun building a house, I got bored half way building the hundreds of dens I used to make when I was younger.
You may not think its a skill or a talent to put 10 pellets through the same hole at 30 yards, but you'd be surprised to see just how many people cant even aim the rifle properly.
I didn't think there was any skill in hitting the middle of the target or hitting the rabbit at a long distance. I just thought hey I can do it but some people just cant. But after getting into more high level target shooting I;ve realised that there is a far bigger skill in shooting than I'd ever emagined.
Even with a scope and bi-pod there is still a huge amount to go wrong, there really is a big skill there you just need to get "into" it more. Your a sailor too right? I used to be a competative sailor and won a few regattors in my old Topper, never really went any further with it appart from some yacht sailing and rescue boat duty a handfull of times was great fun, I pulled a concussed bloke out of the water and be ended up buying me a pint for it
