I'm really surprised that more people aren't into air pistols.

They're fun for plinking and target shooting - why does nobody here seem to have much interest in them?

    They deserve more Sad

I think it may be that we just shoot them but don't talk about it a lot. Rolling Eyes Laughing Very Happy

they arent used for hunting so no stories that way and target shooting with them isn't big and Practical Pistol hasn't taken off so its a small sport

I the US you can get some speciality and moded pistols that are useable for hunting but their fairly costly. their is even a web sight geared to air handgun hunting (http://www.network54.com/Forum/374779/)....but as you say, it hasn't caught on. and I wouldn't want to encourage people trying to hunt with factory pistols, i don't know of any that are safe to hunt with for humain kills (I don't know about the Diana P5.

could you put pistol grips on a crosman 2250? Perhaps 1377 grips? a .22 at 9 ftlbs and if could hit 5mm c-t-c at 10mm and so on down the line, would make a great pistol for little critters in the US.

Actually they make them for it go to Crosman's sight. you can also upgrade to a steel action. also there are good custom grips (http://www.rbgrips.net/index.html). Also check out http://www.mountainaircustomairguns.com/ for some interesting custom guns.

thanks paladin...now that my hunting springer is doing fine ...I've been itching to try a co2 air rifle or pistol. A semi-auto would be fun or a single shot that gets up there in power. Sometimes I like to just pull the trigger and let em fly like with my ruger 10/22.

If i didn't have to do all the extra test and pay for an extra licence and buy a new gun cabinet then maybe i would buy a pistol. But it wouldn't be an air pistol it would be a 357/38 or maybe even 44 or 45 Very Happy

Maybe I should move to Northern Ireland where handguns are apparently legal for 'self protection' - I think that's a law left over from the IRA days.

I'd really love to get a H & K USP or Glock, I find handguns so interesting Smile

I think they're legal in the Isle of Man aswell. I don't know how or why I know that.
