car interior plastic

Can anyone help? In my car(saab93 04reg) on top of the dash the plastic coating covering majority of the dash has started peeling away leaving a bare shiny plastic underneath . Is there any form of product that can be put on top of the affected area to restore it or will it just have to be all peeled off , Failng that a new plastic trim which is a big piece!!
