I don't know if you get the velocity to make use of hollow points in it, but I do know it hits with plenty of authority. I Emailed Daisy about the return of the pistol. maybe if enough of us contact them they'll bring it back. I spent months looking for one. Ask your friends to Email Daisy, maybe they'll reconsider. By the way, Crosman used to make one to, but from what I've read it wasn't near the pistol the Daisy is.
Oh, and if you're still out there Gamo guy...how about Gamo considering a > 22 co2 repeating pistol. It will need slightly larger release of gas on the valve...but you've got a couple of designs that could be addopted.

The 622x came to 81.00 dollars with shipping, but in very good shape. The crosman pellets are more of round nose pellet with a small dent for the hollow point. I don't think they would expand in any air rifle....yet .22 pellets for $.01 each are great for plinking. If you really concentrate you could probably knock off 1/2 inch groupings at 10 meters.....but single action only.

ya, me to I almost always shoot single action, but the fact of having more pellets waiting is nice. I had a laser on mine, but I'm a little old fashioned I guess, I took it off and have gone back to my iron sights.

It is really accurate with just iron sights....I am truly amazed.....
here was my response to the 622x clip inquirery at Daisy:

That's pretty reasonable. Seen some places online were $25.00 for 5 plus shipping, but we won't tell Daisy that.

I haven't looked lately but up to a few months ago they were still available on AMAZON. Still, from Daisy is good. That's about what they cost when the gun was available I think.

Yeah, I will probably check out a few sights, but for the money Daisy is probably the one I will be calling soon. would be nice to have some extra clips ready to go or incase I break the only one I have. I really like the Daisy 622x and would be really sad if something were to happen to it. I left in a Co2 cartridge in it over night one time and it held up the pressure fine and it looks brand new.
I try to keep dust and dirt out of it and use a drop of crosman pellgun oil on the tip of every CO2 cartridge. I try to turn the Co2 screw just enough to break the seal and make the pistol work. I read this from the professional airgun blogs. Hopefully the pistol will last a long time. I hate to see the fun of shooting a .22 CO2 repeating pellet pistol dissappear. Beats going out the country to shoot a .22LR pistol when your pressed for time.
Sometimes it just nice to shoot a few rounds real quick into a target that just needs a little pulverizing. It's becoming one of the most addictive airguns I own and big favorite with all my friends and relatives. I even have freinds and family memebers, who were in the military, who love to come over and shoot a off a few rounds. Once you pick it up, it's hard to put it down. I even asked for Co2 cartridges and pellets for christmas.

oops
Well, in the USA through Daisy, the 622x clips run 5 for $7.95 plus S & H ($4.95 min.). To order, just call the toll free 800 number on there customer service form here:
http://www.daisy.com/serviceform.html
I ordered 2 sets (10 clips) for about $21.00. That way I can load 6 clips and have them ready for one CO2 cartridge and plenty of spares.

I know. Look at the reviews on this pistol. I can't help but wonder why Daisy discontinued it.

oops I had an error in my previous post.......I should have said 11 clips ready for 66 shots. If I put a drop of pellgun oil on the tip of the CO2 Cartride and only turn the screw just enough to break the seal, I've been able to get more shot I believe. I had 86 shots one time and a few 84s, but then you get into the complete end of the cartridge and just lobbing them onto the target. It's still fun to try your hand at 6 to 12" hold overs.
