I have a digital camera (4MP) which takes perfectly good photos in daylight but at night it's rubbish! Takling to friends I find this is a common problem.

Can anyone recommend a small digital camera with a good flash? 4MP is fine for what I want, I just need a better flash

Best way to take photos at night with a digital camera is to turn the flash off and keep the camera very still when you take a photo. Also if you turn off the flash and increase the exposure time then photos will be brighter. You have to keep camera v still though unless you have image stabilisation. If you've tried this and photos are still rubbish then get a new camera!

    Thanks!

I don't think you can turn off the flash though

I want to buy a new camera - but I don't want to buy one that's no better than the one I have. Can anyone recommend one with a good flash?

Or are all small camera flashes rubbish?
