My grandfather bought the rossi off someone for about 60 dollars who knows how long ago. and its probably not worth much more now but in a few years im sure it will go up but don't worry im never going to sell it.
I love it more then my browning even though its extremmely difficult to shoulder quickly and a recoil pad like a piece of steel. The main reason i like it is because its a double hammer gun

when you say 2 3/4, 3, 3 1/2, etc, are you talking about the length of the shell? the wikipedia article was very interesting thanks -

lookie what I found! Shotguns great resource for anything to do with shotguns
do any of you have experience with pistol grips on shotguns? are they harder to control?
