My mother used to get nervous breakdown. Lately she has become so hysteric that she was admitted in an asylum for two weeks. When she returned home, she was in good form for some days but then her condition worsened. She has to be injected with sedative, diprivan, in order to calm her. I feel very sad for her but without the sedative, she doesn't remain silent. While being on the net yesterday, I stumbled on a page on diprivan.
Quote: Such a temporary lack of consciousness is sometimes necessary in order for the patient to undergo certain operations or some diagnosis examinations that his personal physician has to carry out.

I've learn that diprivan is a sort of anesthesia. Could this be harmful to mum??
