the .410 can take out anything just about if you hit it right. Even deer have been taken with a .410. Standard 12 guage has about the best ballistic, power and wind resistance combo around. Although, 2-3/4 and 3 inch shells are plenty. The magnum 3-1/2 inch shells are just to much for most shooters and not a whole lot of gain for what the shells run for price. I used a single shot 20 guage a lot when I was a kid and shooting clay pigeons with trap loads in a 12 guage semi auto was fun. If you can find a good pump second hand, you can have years of fun and food for the table depending on how you use it. -

for your first gun i would advise to to get down the gun shop and try lots of over and unders. Let the guy who runs the shop guide you as he will be able to see what fits you the best. Just tell them your budget

unfortunately the big magor shotgun shot is renound as a bit of a rip of merchant.
my AAs410 cost me a total of £600 with pump and silencer
i don't think there are any shot gun shops near me
i'll look round summer time after my 17th birthday

could i use it on my own or do i need a 21 year old in my kit bag?
