Looking for a game with realistic continuity-

My GF is getting into FABLE: The Lost Chapters- she enjoys the existence of a day/night cycle and that the hero can marry and develop a relationship. Reports are that Fable 2 will allow for children, including playing the child as a character. She also enjoys the Sims, and wonders if there are any adventure/RPG PC games that have realistic continuity, including aging, permanent scarring or injury from battles, even mundane details such as beard and hair growth. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
