Hi everyone,
I've played on this site long enough now to give it a review. First, let me say that, I searched for the right chess site for many months. I wasn't happy with one until I started playing on this site. I always like to read the reviews of others before I comit to something. Out of a possible 10, I'll rate it a 9. They have alot of features for the money. I'd like to list a few....for instance, you can:
GOOD THINGS:
* Play classic chess or Fischer Random
* Pick the time per game (even can add time per move if you want)
* Play rated or unrated
* Pick what color you'd like to play, or play random colors (both black and white)
Pick your opponents class (that is, how high they are rated)
Pick what countries you'd like to play/ not play
Pick what teams you'd like to play (or not play)
Let's you block certain players, let's you have a friend's list
Let's you play registered only or everyone
Sounds/animation menu
Piece menu and color menu
It offers Correspondence Tournaments (all kinds); Individual Tournaments (all categories, that is, Lightning, Blitz, Rapid and Classic); and Team Tournaments (all kinds).
It let's you have a profile, add your picture and you may be picked as player of the week.
It let's you chat with people from all over the world
You can flip the board, check your games history, review your games, study an opening report (shows your openings, their names, etc.)
These are just some of the main features, it has many more.
BAD THINGS:
No video to watch your opponent.
They have sounds, but not a variety of sounds to choose from.
