Help me decide please

I'm wanting to get a new car in the next couple of weeks.
My partner and i have both decided we want a Ford Focus, which was the easier part.
The problem is, she wants a 1.6 Zetec Auto & i want a Ford Focus Titanium 2.0 Auto.
What are the pros and cons of the two, which one would anyone recommend?

I'd choose a Volkswagen Golf, yes they are expensive, but what a car Fast, Reliable, Nice to drive and just a pleasure to own one... They are German built, so you know they are going to be well engineered!

I know this info doesn't exactly help but hey.. We have had Several Fords in our family over many years, and sadly to say they have all suffered from Rust issues

Also Peugeots are good cars, some may argue this case..but my last car was a Peugeot 205 XS 1.4 H reg and the only rust was a small/minor patch in the boot where moisture was causing an issue, had that car for years, got rid of it about 3 years back, but it was still a cracking little motor when I sold it! Compared to my friends newer Ford Fiesta which had to be scrapped cause the floor was giving way.

I currently have a Peugeot 306 's' reg (1998) and there's not one bit of rust!
