my favorite line from deadeye in another forum talking about what air gun you have:

AJ: I duzza no.....I bought z air rifle....I loads z air rifle...anz I shootz za air rifle....and it goes bang...an za bunny goez down. yaaa.

Deadeye: Aww ya AJ we shoot ze wabbit with ze pellet und he makes like sleep.

This thread just reminded me of that. You don't need anything special.....as long as when you shootz ze wabbit with ze gun and it makes like sleep. Laughing

well when it comes right down to it....it doesn't matter the size of the shot you use....but how you use it. Laughing

I no, there is no " non lethal load" for a shotgun but i want to use these rabbits for the pot and i don't want to damage the meat to much.

The pellets from the cartrage dont actually damage the rabbit that much, I've eaten plenty of rabbits shot with shotguns, its only the closer range shots that really damage the meat

I wonder if a rubber slug could take out a wascily wabbit. I suppose if it were a wascily wubber wabbit it would.

Just remember there's a fine line in distance when using a shot gun.......one one side you have a perfectly well preserved bunny with a few holoes.....on the other well hopefully you can find the carcuss.
