corsa 1996 fuel cut off switch

hi does any1 know where the fuel cut off switch is for a p reg 1996 corsa,car was running ok,turned it off ,went to start again it will not go there is no petrol getting to carb ,been told it will be cut off switch but i can not find it,please reply to me at andrewd452@aol.com with answers or what else you might think it is , help is much appreciated many thanks
