    Well, they've been around a long time and get good reviews, but my son was disappointed with his. Could be only that gun, I don't know, just gave you the only piece of info I had.

    I own two Crosman guns - a Benjamin Sheridan EB22 pistol and a King Ratcatcher - both a poor in build quality, although I'd say the pistol does perform quite well considering the price.

    Now I'm not sure what Crosman are like over in America and the rest of the world, but the models over here are certainly sub standard.

    Well, I can comment there. I have a "rat catcher' and I like it a lot. For the less than $80 I paid it's a great gun. I have a Rabbit Stopper, both the Quest 1000 and 800 their also good reliable rifles, I have a 2240 that has taken abuse and still works great. There are good and bad Crosman guns and I sure won't give them a blanket endorsement, but they can make a good gun, espically if you're looking to spend $100 rather than two, three or more times that.

    well crosman may be only good for the prices in the US...elsewhere they tend to run more and seen some twice the price......now I can see where bad rap comes from.

    I would like to try a CO2 blowback repeating pellet pistol someday.....any suggestions under 100 dollars or 50 BP?

    Priority = Accuracy and reliability.

    Have you ever tried putting the pistol grips from the 2240 on the the 2250 rat catcher? The ratcatcher has a longer barrel, I beleive, but also more power. About 100 more fps over the 2240.

    I have taken squirrels with my 1377 with crosman 10.5gr domed mags only. Granted I can shoot 5mm groupng with a scope at 10 meters and been practicing for over a year.

    The 2100 will take rabbits and squirrels 10.5gr domed mags also. Both of these required precise headshots.

    A ratcatcher would be a .22 cal running up around 9 ftlbs or so with a pistol grip would be cool. A lot easer to turn a carbine into a pistol than to up the power of a pistol.

    I know I say never hunt with a pistol, but with the power allowed here and scopes or aiming devices nowdays...if you can consistanly hit your mark with a pistol with enough power.......than I wouls say it can be done......but a rifle offers more for the money in the long run I think.
