insurance question following car theft

Hello everyone - our car was stolen last week and we're waiting to talk to the insurance company - direct line - to see what money we can claim back. We are a *little* stressed at the moment as I am the registered keeper of the car but the insurance policy is in my wife's maiden name (she's a doctor and kept her professional name). I am a named driver on the policy. Does anyone know if this discrepancy in names is likely to make a difference to the claim?
