How does this PSP compare with a spring loaded action gun for noise levels when you shoot it?

Like all PCP rifles, it doesn't have the twang of the spring, but the muzzle crack is more noticeable. The rifle comes (in UK) with a silencer, which is very small, to keep the overall weapon length short, and not particualarly effective. A bigger silencer would tame the noise levels, but adds length and weight to the muzzle end, so can affect handling and balance. The weight increase, at least, can be minimised by using a carbon fibre silencer.

Considering the silencer you get with the rifle is free, its ok for use in the garden and on some rough shoots. I personnaly upgraded my silencer to the new weirauch one, and you can barely hear the gun at all now.
As with all precharged guns, you don't get the same muzzle crack as you do with springers.

The noise of the BSA Ultra is not too quiet, but (As previously mentioned) the silencer does do something.

One thing all the other people have not mentioned, is that the muzzle crack from PCP rifles is the same from spring guns, BUT, as you have no spring twang, the muzzle noise is more noticeable.

All in all, the Ultra is a fantastic rifle. Light, easy to use, and accurate. The silencer is not great, but if you upgrade to either the Logun silencer or the Weireich one this will be one of the best single shot PCP rifle on the market!

I got rid of mine ages ago now...

My new one though is the new Logun QGS silencer - its so quiet, its actually mad. When i'm shooting in an open field, people can't hear me from as little as 15 yards away. And it costs around £45 by the way.

    Happy hunting Cool
