Hello and congrats on the effort of everyone in this forum!
I have a strange problem with my Laptop which is a Fujitsu-Siemens 1451g. Currently it has Windows Xp home installed and everything works absolutely fine and the temperatures are in normal levels (47-50 0 C).
I didn’t have a problem with it till I decided to install Windows Vista! Here it is worth it to note that this machine is Vista Capable as it is mentioned in the Fujitsu’s website and as the Vista upgrade advisor showed.

    The problem is as following:

When I tried to install vista the installation was going fine till the point of the final adjudgements where my laptop shut off for no reason (the fan started working really fast and then it shut the whole system off). The installation wasn’t complete so I was prompted to revert back the settings and any changes in the original state which I did. I tried to install them for another 2 times and the same thing happened!

Now everything works fine (in windows XP of course). The problem is when I am trying to get into the BIOS!

When I am getting in the BIOS the fan starts spinning really fast and after 1-2 seconds the laptop shuts off! This happens only when I am going in the BIOS and not in XP.

In windows everything works perfectly fine! I don’t know what to do!

Does anyone have an idea that might be helpful of what It might be the problem!

    Thanks in advance guys

    Hi

Not quite sure why even Vista would want to change any BIOS settings, but have you tried flashing your BIOS since restoring (possibly a good idea before retrying the install) Download from:
    Laptop BIOS Download Page

Hope this helps ... Let us know how u get on.
