I want to call together all the experts, and see which companies everyone thinks are best. Many people say that DPMS Panther Arms makes good airsoft guns, and some say Smith & Wesson. I want everyone's opinion on this one.

Don't know how long ago this was posted but I'd say KSC are good, seeing as I've owned two of them.

Well my airsoft pistol is a Smith N Weston. But I've heard the Tokyo Marui guns are some of the best.

I've held a classic army or two and they felt very sturdy.

For those of you who are really interested in airsoft there are loads of specialised forums you can join which will give you lots of information on manufacturers and different models. In my opinion Tokyo Marui stuff is good (especially the AEGs), i have the M4 and about 6 spring pistols and 2 gas pistols from them. KSC and maruzen are good for gas guns, ICs and Star are also equivalent if not better than Tokyo Marui for AEGs (AEG= Airsoft electric gun)

I don't play airsoft myself, but I know people that do, and generally speaking, the above mentioned makes come out on top. If in doubt, there are loads of forums that you can Google.

    AEG means automatic electric gun.
GBB means gas blow back. non blow backs dont cycle the slide/bolt, so they are more efficient/powerful for the same shot of gas.
EBB means an electric pistol, with blowback, or electric blowback. an AEG's guts packed into a pistol.

top tier brands, i would say, are Tokyo Marui, KSC, ICS, Classic Army, G & P, and KJ Works.
one step down, you have UTG, HFC, KWA, and a few others.
a fall off of the ladder, you get anything made by crosman, anything with a gun company's name on it
(the exception being a few s & w branded guns) eg.remington, cyma, and wells. similar to bikes, the big companies dont bother with making quality, just quantity. and then they label them as theirs.
you also have specialty companies too, like TOP, maruzen, and STAR. these guys make guns not many others have, like the m249.

sorry for the late reply; havent been on this forum for a while.
