i have an Opel corsa since oct 06 and it has been trouble ever since. first of all exhaust seemed to get louder and then ecu light would appear once i drove over 60 kph and stay on for a few seconds. i had it serviced in jan 07 and they hookrd it up to diagnostic machine . they were'nt sure what it was but repaired hole in exhaust near the centre box.
Soon after ecu light still appeared and then engine would chug violently at times. i brought it back to the garage, they found it was the mass air flow meter and duly replaced it. car seemed fine but exhaust started get loud again and no matter what gear it seemed to roar a bit. in march i had the centre box replaced at another garage, car seemed fine after.

But now into May and the exhaust has got louder again - should it all be replaced?

and there is a creak coming from the rear of the chassy/suspension especially when i move off in first or turn a bend. is the creaking the clutch? bushings? shocks? rust?

    any ideas?

turns out i had a hand brake that needed tightening, muffler was cleaned out and a new bracket put on the exhaust pipe. the car is smoother all round and no squeaks .knock on wood.
