I've got an assessment task for school where I have to analyse the major muscles, joints, and joint actions used to perform a movement in football. I've got a bit of information from Encarta (Players who wish to kick the ball powerfully do so with the top of the foot, the area just above the toes, generating power from the upper leg and torso) but does anyone actually know what the name of this type of kick is? Any ideas of the type of muscles, joints, and joint actions that are used to perform this type of kick?

    Thanks
