    Hey,
I phoned orange up a good 2 months ago informing them that i wanted to change to virgin yet keep my number the same, to which they said i needed a PAK code, possibly PUK im not too sure. Anyway, there's still no sign of them sending it me and they've took another £50 off my monthly account.

I was just wandering how long this should take, and is there anything i can say or do to make them speed up their process?

Please Note - I have served the minimum time required to cancel on my contract.

You need to give verbal notice of cancelling and then put your notice in writing. Cancel your direct debit for after the end of your contract and they cannot keep charging you. You will need your pac code to transfer your number, which only lasts for fourteen days, so request it two weeks before your contract ends and set up a new contract to transfer it to. You may lose some of the end of your existing contract due to your number being ported to the new contract. It is usual to give one months notice. If you swap to Virgin you can also use your inclusive minutes to make free international calls. You can call 07744 and 973249 with your inclusive minutes and when connected just dial your full international number with code, but do not press the send key, green key afterwards, it will automatically connect. The recorded announcement states that you will be charged by your network provider, but this is not the case if using inclusive minutes. If you run out of minutes or use the number outside of your allowance you would be charged. The guy on the phone goes on to say that some users utilising inclusive minutes can access that number free. Enjoy... Smile
