DIY Flowers

I am getting married in October 2007, my fiance and I have quite a tight budget to work with and Ive been given the task of arranging the flowers.



I would like to save money on florists costs and do a lot of it myself and I have a few ideas of table decorations that I like but Im not sure what kind of flowers to use, I have been lent some tall lily vases and mirrors and I have some bowls for floating candles (although our venue has now decided that we are not allowed to use candles).

Our colour scheme is Ivory,Mocha and light gold.

And as we are having the wedding ceremony abroad the reception will be pretty low key ,we are not having a sit down meal just a buffet so the flowers won't need to be too elaborate, just enough to decorate the venue and some of the tables.



Would anyone have any ideas of what we could use / do ??
